This piece is about the journey and development of women’s rights. Women have suffered suppression, sexual assault, been stripped of their basic rights, refused to own property, have an education, hold a job, and whose reproductive rights are still to this day under attack. The piece invokes the strength, unity, and power of women as we stand for the right to equality. Emma Watson’s voice-over is from her speech at the UN Woman’s HeForShe Campaign in 2014, which challenges us to strive for change. “If not now, when?”
